AOL to launch two-pronged attack. First, they will offer free internet phone service tied to its AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) software. Second, they will offer web-hosting to challenge MySpace, called AIMPages. Full story here:

It'll be interesting to see if AOL can compete with cable companies for substitutes to phone lines and with myspace. AOL has a perception of being outdated and simply for email. It appears that they are moving to late to keep up with the competition.
